For the Mom Who Feels Tired and Worn
Mama, I see you.
I see the long days that start before the sun is up and end long after everyone else is asleep. I see the to-do lists that never seem to shrink, the dishes in the sink, the laundry pile that seems to grow overnight. I see the moments you wonder if you’re making any difference at all.
If you’re tired, worn, or feeling like you have nothing left to give, you’re not alone — and you’re not unseen.
God Sees You
In Genesis 16, Hagar called God El Roi — “the God who sees me.” She was in a desert place, feeling invisible and overwhelmed, but God met her there. He sees you in your kitchen, your car, your work, your mess. Not just the “Sunday you” — the everyday you.
You Are Not Running on Empty
It might feel like you’re pouring from an empty cup, but God promises to be your source. Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” When you feel like you can’t take one more step, He carries you. When you feel worn thin, He renews you.
Small Steps Matter
Some days, your faith in motion may look like hosting a Bible study or serving your community. Other days, it may look like showing up for your kids with a smile, whispering a prayer while folding laundry, or reading one verse before bed. God sees the small steps and calls them significant.
You’re Planting Seeds
You may not see the fruit yet, but every act of love you give your family plants seeds that will grow in time. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Walk It Out
This week, give yourself permission to rest in God’s presence. Even five quiet minutes with Him — in the car, during nap time, or while taking a short walk — can renew your strength and shift your perspective.
Love in Action
Bless another mom who might be feeling the same way. Send her a quick text to say she’s doing a great job, drop off a coffee at her door, or watch her kids for an hour so she can rest. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is remind someone they’re not alone in the journey.
